ROOT CANAL THERAPY
Root Canal involves removing damaged or dead nerves and blood vessels in the tooth root that have become infected due to decay from bacteria, cracks or trauma. The space left is then filled with a material that seals the tooth and keeps it functioning as before. Root canal treatment is designed to save the tooth and prevent the spread of infection.
ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Re-treatment involves the removal of existing root filling material, re-cleaning the canals, and placing new filling material. Root canals can be very complex and is a time-consuming procedure and if it is not done to a high standard, there is a risk of the root canal treatment failing. If this happens, there is a need for a re-root canal treatment.
